Default Wheels

I'm pretty sure cost might keep me from doing so but if a guy wanted to have a set of wheels cut and made, where would a guy go or who would he call to talk to someone about having a set made up for himself?

I want a set of wheels that looks like or closely resembles the old style Craigers of days gone by that was so famous on almost all your old muscle cars, again, of the old days gone by...............

I have looked and looked for a set of wheels for 2 years now but nothing has ever really jumped out at me and said "ME"!!!

The stock wheels on the Switchback kinda have that look. I would be scared to se what a custom cut would cost.

Tony, I agree with Black01 and think those are some pretty cool looking wheels as well. In addition to that however, check out Conder Customs. Here is a picture of a bike he did with his wheels..

RC Nitro is the closest looking to a chrome Cragar that I can think of. I can get you dsicounted forum pricing on them too.

As far as having a replica made, I am sure you could find someone to do it but I am sure it will cost more than you can get an aftermarket bolt on wheel for as well. You have to buy wheel blanks, get someone to program the design, get it polished, get it chromed, buy hubs, get tires get tires mounted get bearings etc.

I am sure there are guys who offer this type of service but check out this RC Nitro, pretty close.

I Know the Look Tbone......Muscle car guy here myself and love the classic Cragar wheel. I can remember seeing wheels like that for a bike on a build show a bunch of years back, I checked Big Bear Choppers, cause that was where I thought I saw it. Attached a pic of the closest I could find. Not sure it helps but may point you in the right direction.

good luck

Price will defiantly keep you away. I'm guessing upwards of $8-10,000+ for a set. No only will materials be around a $1000 per wheel you've got to pay the man for programming which is the expensive and time consuming part, then on to machine time and set up... given he doesn't have to buy more bits at $100+ a pop and your wheel may use 5-6 different bits due to shape. And that's if he doesn't run into trouble on his $250,000+ machine....

Tv one..... Just came across Renegade Wheels (www.renegadewheels.com), I think they may have the closest I've seen. Check'm out and let me know what Ya think. I didn't really go through thoroughly because when I saw the site I got right back here to let Ya know.

Good luck and let me know what Ya think !!!

Tbone, I can talk with Sam at Ride Right on Monday and get you a ballpark price if interested. What sizes would you want them in?
