Angry Windshield buffeting

I wanted to get in some last minute riding before it got cold and snowing. So I put on my windshield. Well this is he first time I've used it since I did my tank lift. And the wind was totally unbearable, it was actually worse than no shield at all. So more so that I'm considering taking the lift off. I like the look of the lift but with the usable fuel loss and now this wind issue it's not worth it.
What say you?

So, with your tank lift AND windshield, you have more buffeting than before? I would have thought the opposite to be true, since the air gap would be smaller between the top of the tank and the bottom of the windshield. I once considered doing a tank lift for the above reasoning. Please expound upon the details. BTW, I had fangs on my last bike (a Dyna SG with a windshield), and they worked really well.

I've got a set but they won't fit anymore with the new spot/signal set up.

The wind is coming over the top of the tank like before, but not instead of hitting me in the chest (where it was bearable) it's hitting me square in the face.

I put the soft lowers on my engine guard and that did make a big difference for the buffeting.

No engine guard they don't make them for my bike with forward controls. That's why I've got the mustache bar. I'm gonna have to experiment.

Try wings. They totally changed the riding experience on my deluxe.
