Guess I'll put my vote in for the analog HD gauge too.
I got it because like someone else said you don't have to fiddle around with buttons or dead batteries. Besides I ALWAYS check the level manually before I go anywhere so the level function isn't very useful for me.
I have been thinking ofswiping some red nail polish off the wife and putting a thin stripe on the bezel rim at about the 230 or 235 mark. That way I don't even have to bother trying to read those little numbers with my tri-focals while zipping down the road at 75mph. If you do that and put it in so the stripe is to the front it only takes a very quick glance to see if its under and fine, or over and I may have a problem.

RE: Temp gauge/Dip stick???
I bought the LCD for my 06 Heritage Classic. The dipstick was shorter and was rigid. The stock dipstick was longer and swivels. I asked about the length and rigid, andwas told, that if the dipstick swivels, it was meant to check your oil while on the kickstand. if it's rigid and straight, it is meant to be checked while upright. which can be a challange to hold the bike up and then extract the dipstick to check levels.

Hi all,
I just bought the HD analog gauge for my 07 FXST. I also have syn oil in mine. Still seems to run hot. I would say around 225 to 250 maybe. How acurate is the gauge? How hot should the engine be running?
