Default Brake light stuck on

The brake light(in the tail light) is stuck to the on postition on my bike. It wont go off. I dont know a lot about wireing. I bought a new brakelight switch or what ever its called and it did not fix the problem. I am bringing the bike into a shop on mondy but was hoping maybe some of you guys could walk me through it. thanks.

I had that problem with my 03 Heritage. On the front brake switch, there's a little plastic tit that contacts the brake lever. Well, it broke off. I was fortunate enough to find it on the floor of my garage and I epoxied it back on. If it breaks again, I have a new front brake switch on standby.

That could be your problem. Pull off your front brake lever and press the switch in. See if your brake light goes out.

I helped a Bud change the front brake switch on a fattie. If you don't already know wherethis switch is located it's inside the the right switch housing. Replaceing this switch is a Bitch to say the least. Haveing his wires inside the bars added to the problem. We had to cut and solder the wires. Good Luck

If your front brake never actuated the brake light, that's where I'd start looking. Have you had the brake lever off recently?
