Post Slim - V&H or Bassani?

I am looking at replacing the stock pipes on my '14 Slim with Vance & Hines Big Shots Staggered or Bassani Firesweeps. Anybody out there with some recommendations or who has done this on their Slim?

i have the fire sweeps on my slim. like the looks and sound, not the greatest if you're looking for a little more in the perforance department. i just went with what i thought looked the best, but that is just my opinion.

In the past 20 years, I've never heard a bad sounding Vance and Hines exhaust.
If that helps any.

I have the Bassani and can't fault them. Sound is great without being offensive and they suit the ride (just my opinion)

I guess much of it depends on what else you have done or are doing to it as well.

Appreciate the feedback. Other than looks and sound, I gather the performance is similar to the stock pipes.

We have the Bassani Road Rage B1 power system on our '12 Heritage and I could feel the difference immediately after the instillation and this was with
the stock air cleaner, which has been changed out to the Arlen Mess inverted air cleaner which added more power, the Bassani has the right sound nice deep rumble when cruising but it does BARK when you get on the throttle.

Here are a couple of videos of our bike. The first one we did and the second one is from the Bassani web site of our bike.

My Slim was fitted with the BIG SHOTS without quiet baffles...
If they really look as dedicated for this bike because of their old school style, I recommand to change the original baffles :
when you leave home at 7' in the morning, you should better not to have neighbours .. or in downtown at the red trafic light, don't forget your earplugs !
After a ride, I really have my ears wisthling as if I spent the night in a club !

Smile but wait, there is more... Arlen Ness/Magnaflow Lowdown

Slim w/ Arlen Ness MagnaFlow Lowdown pipes.

Appreciate all the prompt feedback. Still a tough call as I have not come across a Slim with either a V&H or Bassani installed. The YouTube clips are good, but it's hard to get the real sound. To make the choice even harder, I see that Arlen Ness/MagnaFlow are coming out with new pipes for Softails as well early 2015 (on their website they even show the Lowdown on a Slim - sweet!).

consider a 2:1 system for more grunt (power) down low. split pipes don't compare in terms of performance against an average 2:1
