I'm trying to get the mufflers off my 07 deluxe...I have removed the two screws holding them to the bracket and loosened the clamp holding them to the header pipe...They are still pretty tightly connected to the pipe. Should I just keep pulling them back until they separate or is there something else that I am not seeing?

You may have to pull and twist at the same time to get them off. Try pushing up and down on the end of the mufflers a bit , kind of a rocking motion. Just like a muffler on a car they are tight..Mark...

 

When I took off my stock pipes to install the RUSH slip ons I found spraying WD-40 where they are attched HELPED ALOT!

Also like was pointed out..twist & pull..back & forth..twist & pull

That WD should sit for about five minutes before you go at it again, they're just tight. You'll get it, they're just stuborn

 

The job is done... WHOA!!! YOU GOTTA DO THIS TO YOUR BIKE! The sound is awesome and the PCIII makes it run so nice. Highly recommended!

After reading different posts, I almost wish that I had waited to get my pipes, fuelpak, and air cleaner until after I had ridden it stock. Everyone has gotten excited about the change in performance. I had mine put on before I even sat on my bike, so I don't know how it ran stock.

 

I plan on riding mine completely stock for about a week or so. Then I'll have the scoot in a million pieces in my garage...(it makes my wife cringe when I say that). I'm starting to have this real love/hate relationship with zanotti's right about now... mostly love though.
