Default windshield question

HD windshields have 18" and 21" sizes, and I'm wondering which size I should choose for my '14 FB. Which size do Heritage and Road King come with from the factory? Pros and Cons, appreciate your input.

my 2003 RK came with an 18" windshield.
convention says - sit on your bike in your normal riding position. an imaginary horizontal line from the top of the windshield should hit you somewhere between your lip and the tip of your nose.

Can't speak to the Road King - But am fairly sure the Heritage all come stock with the 18" ~ As far as Pro's and Con's it's a preference of the rider. At 5'9" I look comfortably over the top of the windshield as is my preference. I also have a 21" complete with quick release harware I put together {an LSR re-curve} I was planning on using in colder weather to move the air a bit more over my head. Absolutely does the job ~ But I hate the damn thing. Do NOT like looking thru the windshield at all, again my preference. So - Depending in your height and viewing likes will dictate the size. If you think you'd like the 21" - Contact me and maybe we can come to an agreement on a nice used one!!

I had the 21" Nostalgic shield on my Deluxe and could see over it with a proper riding position. I mostly slouch though while riding and had to look through the shield which I did not mind and like the added wind protection a taller shield gives. I am 5'9".

Choice clear since you want to look over it simple because a tin serves no purpose and just make the shield stand out. I'm 6'3" and look over a my 19". You can always trim it and there is some adjustment in the mounts.

I have a 17" Memphis with reverse curve to push the air over my head. It works great. I hate looking thru a shield, it distorts everything.
