looking at getting the Arlen Ness big sucker and it says you can use any 8 inch HD cleaner cover. when looking online they do not supply the dimensions so how do i know which cover will fit the intake?

 

The "Big Sucker" is about 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The 8" Harley air cleaner cover fits with no problem. I'm running a vintage 7" air cleaner cover on mine. I suspect it's a bit restrictive (you can really hear the intake howl when you get on it), but it's caused no other issues.

 

I'm running the 7" on my slim, ran a 7" on my RK also and no issue with the ANBS.

 

I'm not a fan of Arlen Ness products however in my opinion the AN Big Sucker is the best stage-1 intake on the market. Simple and effective design. I've used it on my last 2 bikes and always recommend it to others. Wise choice. You'll be happy with it.

 

I am using the harley round nostalgic bar and shield cover works and looks great. it comes with a rubber gasket that you stick in it and it sets it off the big sucker just a bit.
