i hate the switches on this bike!
every time i get cut off or need the horn in a hurry i wind up with my left turn signal on. after 20 years and almost 50k miles riding sport bikes this is one habit that will take a while to break. the horn has always been bottom left on every bike i have ever ridden till now.
just thought i would give you guys a chuckle..

You do know that if you want your horn to sound, turning on your left turn signal won't work. Just pulling your chain JD. It happens. You could also be blowing your horn when you want to make a left hand turn.
A simple solution, other than just "breaking the habit", may be to change to an extended turn signal cap. It may give you a different "feel". Just a suggestion.

The above link may not be to your specific year/model bike but you can find that particular part on Harley's online store.

Yeah try going from a late model Harley to a 70's Triumph. Right side shift. No turn signals, hands only and drum brakes. Now that's a challenge.
By the way every time I try for the horn on the Harley I always hit something else. No mistaking the Triumph horn. It is the huge chrome single button.
