Default Wide glide trees and breakout wheels on my rocker

I know it's been done already. Figured I'd start a thread of my own anyway.

Here is a pic of where I'm at right now.
I just removed the stock trees and the races from the neck. The bottom one was a bitch, I had to whale on it pretty hard to get it to come out.

Gonna build the HHI trees tomorrow and have them ready for when the to timken neck bearings and pro-one fork stop kit gets here.

Still waiting on HHI to ship the wide glide axle they make for the rocker. I ordered it last week and they told me they have to make it and it should be a week before they do so.

I've also taken apart both calipers. Decided to rebuild the front one (since the back one was rebuilt last summer) and clean the rear one. My brake fluid for both calipers was a bit dirty so I blew out all the brake lines with compressed air.

Most of my parts should be here tomorrow. Just gotta wait for that damn front axle.

I'll keep the pics coming. Just bare with me cause I can only post one pic at a time from my phone and iPad.

Is it difficult changing out the trees? I am looking to do wide glide front end for a 23".

Looks like chit all taken apart like that! Lol. Gotta crack the egg to make the omelet though, looking forward to following the transformation.

If you set up a photobucket account and copy the IMG link on the photos, you can post a bunch from the iPad and they'll show up in your post as a large photo. Saves me a click to see the pic. Lol

Not hard at all bro. You just need the correct tools to press out the bottom neck race. Other than that it's easy peasey as long as you have a manual.

I've thought about doing that photobucket account. Just too lazy and I'm dreading adding another password and user name to the 10,000 other ones I already have in my life lolol.

After seeing that picture you sent me I can't wait to see what you end up with when you're finished.

I think you must be some kind of fortune teller Jo. I was looking at my rear fender last night and Im starting to realize how much I dislike the way I cut my rear fender with that straight cut all the way across. I should have not cut it straight across and instead tapered the edges in.
How much you want for your rear fender. Or is there anything you need? And wanna trade for? I got 49mm fork clamps for turn signals an some other stuff laying around that I'm not planning on using.

Here is a pic of where I left off last night. Rear wheel is buttoned up, just waiting on the grease so I can grease the Pistons in my rear caliper, put the caliper back together and mount it.
Mocked up the front wheel using the vice and it looks bitchin. It's hard to see in this crappy pic but the machines spokes on the wheels match the machines phins on the motor.

Waiting for HHI to make the damn axle and ship it. It's going on a week and a half now. Anyone know of somewhere else where I can get a wide glide axle that will work with the rocker's lower fork sliders?

EDIT: aaahhhhhh photo upload ain't workin......stay tuned.
Woke up with a sore throat today, feel like crap. Not sure if I'll make it to the garage today.

Wouldn't any wide glide 25mm axle work? I heard the HHI one is made for the stock wheel spacing so it will be off set like stock.
I was able to find the member that use to make the flush mount axle for rockers and he just sent me a wide glide axle and it worked. Needed my own spacers put that was no problem

You would think any wide glide axle would work but there are differences between axles.
The rocker axle is the same diameter the entire length of the axle. I bought a breakout axle thinking it would work but it didn't because the breakout axle is the same diameter as the rocker but it has a 3 inch or so section at the end of the axle where it steps down and that's why te breakout axle doesn't work with the rocker fork bottoms.

Who's the cat that makes those wide glide axles ?
