I'm trying to determine if I blew my main circuit breaker. I located the copper stud but don't know how to check the main circuit breaker. Is the main circuit breaker behind this copper stud? Does this need to come off to check it? Thank you.
ok so i took the meter to the copper stud. I grounded it against the frame and put the positive on each stud. I checked it with no power and again with the ignition on but did not get a reading either time.
I just want to make sure my circuit breaker is good. Is it behind this block?
I attached the wiring diagram that shows where it is at
Where exactly is that on your bike? I was looking for mine and didn't find it, or I didn't look very hard.
Sorry for uploading it sideways, not sure to how rotate pictures. But that chrome is my oil tank. Its squeezed in between the rear fender the oil tank and the fuse block on my bike. 1999 Fatboy
Its straight, no worries.
Hmm, if you have no power on either leg its probably blown, What are you running on your bike that would do that?
well i was riding the other day and while riding the negative terminal screw to the battery vibrated out and killed the bike. I got a jump and let her idle for 15 minutes and then took off riding. I made it about 200 yds before my bike sounded like it exploded and just completely died on me.
I let her sit for a good hour tho and was able to get another jump but at this point i had a truck on the way to get me home. I just want to check all the fuses and circuit breaker to make sure the electrical is sound
