Well I posted this through the Tapatalk app yesterday, but evidently it didn't make it to the forum. Friday I got new bars (56569-09) from the dealer. $70. Replaced the stock ones, and what a difference! Only went 50 miles, but seems so much more comfy. The true test will be the first week of June. I've a big trip planned then. Thinking about maybe getting a riders back rest too. Just not sure if I want to change too many things at once. Would like to pin point areas of discomfort, and see what has what effect on it. Anyway, about three hours start to finish. Used a whizzer wheel to cut the notches for the TBW, and used a drill and whizzer wheel to make the hole at the base of the bars for the TBW harness. No cable changes, hose changes, or harness lengthening. Love the looks of them, and most importantly, I love the feel of them!
That is funny Benway. How do you like the Road King bars on the Heritage? Must be the difference in the frames, because the Road King bars suck on a Road King

Beautiful fit. Follow the lines of the bike better, lower, have more pullback (I dislike apes) and my wrists no longer hurt from the factory Heritage bars that stick straight out sideways.
They are different from factory RK, though, so there's that. Very comfortable and great handling.
