Default front fork ride height

Front fork ride height is different by 1 1/4" between two bikes. Wondering how they changed this? Different springs in the forks? Both are 1200 Customs; a '05 and a '08.

Out of curiosity I looked on ronnies. The tubes, springs and damper rods are the same for both bikes but the final assembly has different part numbers.

Is it the older bike that is lower?

Clearly you would need to take both sets apart to check for actual differences. If you didn't buy them new a PO could have changed something.

The older bike sits higher. The newer bike also had lowering blocks on the rear shocks. Looks like the PO did change some thing. Shorter springs?

Ha! Whenever I see the term unladen I think of Monty Python.

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
