Default Add Tach

How hard is it to add a Tach to my 2000 FXD Superglide having just a speedometer mounted on the handlebar riser now? I see the double brackets online, but not sure if it can be done.

I've never done it, but I would think it should be plug and play once you have the double bracket. I think the bike may already be wired for it but I'm not 100% sure of that.

I have read about it being a nightmare on newer bikes. I will have to get the manual out and find where it should have the wiring hidden. Thanks

Being it has electronic components as opposed to mechanical you need the correct tach and it should be plug and play.
But Ive been known to be wrong about newer bikes.
