Super Cush.
No. Not weed. Poly-urethane sprocket dampener to replace stock rubber one. I was taking my rear wheel off to put new tire on. 2018 Ultra. Just to show how behind the times I am. I got the axle out and noticed how loose pulley was. I thought , oh my God, all of the pulley bolts are loose. Little did I know that was ancient technology. Damn rubber spider looking thing holds it all together now. Took wheel to shop for mount and balance. Parts guy hands me this Super Cush. Try this he says. New rear tire , brake pads and dampener. Well. To make a long story longer. The Super Cush really works. Power pulses are gone. Transition between gears are much smoother. I recommend the next time that you have the rear wheel off install one of the Super Cush dampener. I am not a company spokesperson.

The pulley runs in a fit inside the wheel hub. There is a rubber molded damper that “splines” the two together for lack of a better term. It’s all held together by the axle spacer and swing arm. No bolts or other hardware. It’s meant to soak up some driveline shock. It’s a commonly neglected part and they do definitely wear out.
