It's that time again. Who is going?

Hopefully the weather holds out for us.

I will either flying in (light GA A/C) or riding in from the NE next weekend.
Wouldn't miss it unless it's was totally cancelled; already cleared the work schedule.
Been through this before in October; the faithful carry on.

Sons of Speed the 19th… always takes priority. I’ll likely miss the rest.

Hopefully "they" don't pull a Panama City. PC canceled the event because all the hotels where full of evacuees. Then we got handed COVID and they canceled a couple more.

Fingers crossed. But, verify that it's happening before traveling too far.

Back in 2005, we had a bunch of storms crisscross the state in that area. A strong storm, like this one is projected to be, can tear up both coasts no mater which coast it lands on.

Some of the west coast of FL got a little beat up by Helene as it traveled by. So, compound damages from this storm for west FL.

Fingers crossed it lightens up before it gets here.

I rode to Biketoberfest 2016 in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Mathews from Va. My riding buddies bailed out on me but I was determined to go. That year, I was riding down I95 pretty much the entire way or so I thought. When I crossed over into NC, realized I95 was closed and towns like Wilson/Lumberton were underwater. Got detoured to secondary highways to the west, every hotel room was full of evacuees till i got to Florence and lucky to find a room there for the night around midnight. Made it to Daytona Beach the next day to the hotel on A1A in Ormond beach, luckily it was still open and intact. i remember seeing trees still down, houses with roofs destroyed being tarped, A1A just north of Ormond was washed away into the ocean. Have to say, the businesses that were open were grateful to have customers. Main street was still doing its thing and mostly locals were having a good time. Here are a couple of pics from that trip.
