Default Clutch basket

My primary chain adjuster broke and a piece of it dinged my clutch basket to the point the the clutch plates stuck and caused the clutch to slip..
my question is..
can you remove the clutch baskets from the flywheel and only replace the basket itself??

Year and model of your Harley would be useful in getting more response.

Yes. You will need the right tools. A Factory service manual will give the instructions and tools required.

Ya really need a Service Manual. Remove the clutch plates and with a little careful persuasion get the ding out. FYI - The clutch basket is bolted to the transmission shaft, not the flywheel.

If you are going to all the trouble of removing the clutch basket, I would recommend that you replace/upgrade the clutch discs and springs as well.
