Install advice for S&S Rocker Shafts and Studs & S&S Billet Headbreathers
I purchased a set of SnS rocekrshafts and studs a long time ago and never had the right place or time to install them. So they've been collecting dust.
Now that I have a garage where I can take my time and deal with tearing down that much of the bike in one go, I want to install them. One and done.
I have no real plans what so ever to go to a bigbore kit, so this would be the last performance and reliability parts I want to install.
But I have heard and seen a few people have cracked the rocker shaft towers installing these and was wondering what I need to look out for or what tools specific should I grab to work on this.
2nd, the S&S Billet Breathers are there any point to these other than just nice to have over the plastic ones? Are these essentially for big inch builds? Or could even a stock M8 benefit from these?
Debating about buying a set and installing these at the same time.
I quite like the idea of having a pretty overbuilt engine, so long as it doesnt break the bank. 300$-ish for a set of them seems reasonable but at the same time does a stage2 bolt in cam build really need billet headbreathers?
