anyone connect a radar detector to their PanAm ?

how did you mount the detector and where did you get the electricity supply from ?

 

Did you have one on another motorcycle?

 

never had another motorcycle this is my first bike.
My friend - GSA1250 - runs his directly from the battery with a fuse inline but his mount as I recall has his detector partially taped on and I need easy on off for the detector since I public park often.
