Default No power couple times?

2017 FLHXS Stage 1
So a couple times this summer I turn key switch and nothing. I then turn it back and forth once or twice and it has power. Bike batteery is great, fob battery tested good but I replaced it today after checking/cleaning battery terminals. Quirky fob? Brain on bike just missing a beat? Anyone every have that happen?

Bad ignition switch? Not sure if it would be base or the ****. Base I am guessing.

Yeah I thought it about that, like to think it's fob but pretty weird either way. If it does it again, I'm gong to carry other fob for the hell of it. Bike only has 8000 miles on it. I bought it last fall from dealer with 5000 miles on it. Not sure if dealer could tell if something is failing in ignition.

I really doubt fob. Bad fob would ask you for pin.

I think you are in denial. We all do it, want to think easy thing.

Now that I think about it, lights weren't blinking crazy, as if the FOB wasn't there or dead battery. Something maybe in switch. Intermittent electrical is one PITA.

Pretty sure you can rule out the FOB

Even without any FOB present at all, you should still get power to the dash lights and a blinking "Enter Pin" message.
Everything up until the fuel pump priming and the starter engaging works without the FOB being there.

8k miles you would think not switch. But on my year if fob not present asks for pin.

Try wiggling switch, and pay attention when not working. Stop.
First reaction is to get bike running, especially if wrong time.

I doubt switch at 8k, doubt fob too

Yeah bit of a puzzler only happened couple times. Probably not fuse either being that bike isn't moving and starts after trying ignition a second or third time. grrrrr
