Just blead my clutch fluid on my 2019 Ultra. What the hell was HD thinking? For this 15 minute job it took me 3 beers and an hour and half. You cant get the cover off without Loosing up the whole exhaust system.

It is not that hard to do . Not like it is a weekly maintenance item.

Lose the cover HYD clutch stays cooler.

I failed. I didn’t include beer when I did it. I might have hated the job a little less.

I've seen pics from guys that have shaved the lower part of the cover so you don't need to loosen the exhaust next time. Haven't done it yet myself, but a search might bring it up tho........

Definitely a bad design on Harley's part, one of several in my opinion. I flush the clutch on my '16 UC recently and didn't need to remove the exhaust. 2019 models must be different.

Here's a pic I saved from a thread on this forum, by a member who trimmed his clutch cover. Doesn't look like it takes much... I was going to do it when I flushed my clutch fluid.

Luckily, my current aftermarket exhaust has just enough room for me to wiggle the cover off for clutch fluid flushing. If it didn't, I would have done this mod in a second.

I've got 20 year old clutch fluid in a jap bike, and still works. Harley could bleep up an anvil.

Also the cover, while bolt on either way on 2015, has to go one way or leaks. Another screw up. What I hate about it, is worrying about the fluid on paint. Wish there was something else to use.

On my 2015, I can get the cover off ok, atleast.

Stuff like that, forget the beer. I'd go straight to the Michter's 10.

I’m gonna go ahead and ask what the shift lever is about?
