ULTIMA shovelhead compensator assembly

ULTIMA shovelhead compensator assembly
I'm having to determine if by assembling all the original compensator sprocket assembly the crank nut bottoms out
onto the crank snout as the Ultima crank is about a 1/2" longer. I can torque to 80-90lbs but that's it. I have put putty inside
the nut and definitely is pressed. I installed the Ultima motor in the 72 FLH and started a few times and I had marked the cup
and the compensator nut, removed the primary cover and though the nut stayed at torque the mark on the cup moved. Will I be
OK locktighting and go on and recheck later after a few miles?
Crank in a 1/2" from extension face as original shovelhead in what an inch?

Not sure why I bought this Ultima
Midwest Company says the 74 and later shovelheads crankshaft were made longer so I ended up having to space out evenly the compensator assembly because the crankshaft would bottom out inside the nut. I did line up the primary set. I don't have a lot of experience with motorcycles, none on Harleys so this is treacherous waters to me. I have started it few times seems okay. I reused the bendix carb and got the adjustable main jet which I didn't have to tap actually the adjustable main jet threads are slightly smaller than the original on top of the carburetor.
