Default Lubrication problem .

98 evo fxdwg. My friend had oil leak problem and didnt quite seize motor but may as well have . Well i replaced cylinders , rings , pistons , and heads. Also rebuilt oil pump . New keys , and gears . Heres my issue i seem to be getting plenty of oil to crank because when i pull timing plug at bottom of front jug left side and turn engine over it pukes oil out the hole. But i remove valve covers from rocker boxes and see no oil to valvetrain. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Has to be something im overlooking . .

Assuming the scavenge part of the pump is working. I'd say the check ball ain't. Also did you replace the oil seal inside the pump that goes between the scavenge and feed? What was side play on the pump gears..
