kick stand
A question for Y'all - The bike is a new to me - 77 Shovel FX - now an FL style full fender. Stock 4 - speed frame - stock rake The front end is a 1990 something Softail FL style maybe a Fatboy or Heritage.. That's +3 inches from the 1977 front end .
The problem is it leans over too much on the kickstand I'd like to find a kickstand that will stand it up a little straighter -
Any Ideas? Thanks Eastcoast Jim

There are extended kick stands available that should help. How much do you need to raise the bike. The first one below is extended 1 inch, the second a little over an inch..

I use the Bung King kickstand block on my stock length kickstand 84' FXSB Shovelhead and it works well. Depending on your setup it may still not be enough to correct your excessive lean.
Be advised if you instead choose to go with a longer kickstand it will not make contact on the stock rubber block location of the primary cover. If you don't use a piece of rubber on either the kickstand itself or in the "new" location on the primary cover it WILL chafe the primary cover and eventually make a hole.
