Default kick stand

A question for Y'all - The bike is a new to me - 77 Shovel FX - now an FL style full fender. Stock 4 - speed frame - stock rake The front end is a 1990 something Softail FL style maybe a Fatboy or Heritage.. That's +3 inches from the 1977 front end .
The problem is it leans over too much on the kickstand I'd like to find a kickstand that will stand it up a little straighter -
Any Ideas? Thanks Eastcoast Jim

There are extended kick stands available that should help. How much do you need to raise the bike. The first one below is extended 1 inch, the second a little over an inch..

Had the same problem, I made a wedge and fastened it in there with some longer bolts.
worked well.
Not my idea I had seen it somewhere else.

You can get a block that bolts to the bottom of the foot but Im not a fan of the look. I need a longer stand for my 98 EG so I'll be ordering one from the link as well.

I use the Bung King kickstand block on my stock length kickstand 84' FXSB Shovelhead and it works well. Depending on your setup it may still not be enough to correct your excessive lean.

Be advised if you instead choose to go with a longer kickstand it will not make contact on the stock rubber block location of the primary cover. If you don't use a piece of rubber on either the kickstand itself or in the "new" location on the primary cover it WILL chafe the primary cover and eventually make a hole.

Mine had an excess lean. I bought the extended kick stand, and it didn't help.
I put shims under to see how much lift I wanted, then cut a piece of angle, and welded it to the bottom. I also added a "wing" to make it easier to deploy.
Not the prettiest, but function is perfect.

My 75 is bone stone stock it has the lean , my 84 is bone stone stock is sits up damn near straight . I have compared stands both exactly the same . The 84 is an FLHS “ sport “ style frame , no boards , pegs . It sits up so straight one has to pick a lean parking space .
