I bet the folks who wrote your Owners Manual has an indicator illustration page and explanation of it as well as troubleshooting section..I bet the dealership you bought it from would be happy to fix it for you under warranty too

man walks into a Library and asks the Librarian if she could tell him where the section is on Self Help books..she said...'I could, but that would defeat the purpose'

Yellow triangle is the fault indicator, owners manual doesn't say anything except call dealer. Check for codes, clear any that are present and restart. Should clear the light. If not try it a couple times then call the dealer. If bike is running ok shouldn't be an issue. I've had it come on once and it cleared after codes were cleared and a couple restarts.

ETA depending on cause of fault sometimes cycling ignition off for a minute or so and back on will clear it as well according to manual.

If I bought a brand new bike and the same day that light came on at 55 miles I’m not trying anything DIY to attempt to resolve. It’s a call to the dealer to deal with

I get it, but it's not tear into the motor DIY, it's a couple minutes to check/clear codes. Mine came on after a fuel stop on the thruway. Bike was running fine even with check engine light and fault light on, both were cleared in a matter of minutes and haven't been back on since. Even if it happened in my driveway no way I'm calling dealer right off the bat, of course they're gonna say bring it in and that means losing the bike for a bit. First thing they're going to do is check/clear codes anyways. If brand new bike is running like crap or has issues like the guy in other thread losing throttle response you bet it's going to the dealer. A light comes on that the user can clear, there's no reason to not try and clear it before calling dealer. If it won't clear after a few tries and restarts then a call may be in order.

Default How to Check codes

Hold the trip button and turn ignition switch on then let go of trip button. See if any codes are stored. If yes, make note of code then clear the code. (Scrolling and clearing codes is done by using the touch screen)

I’ve had the check engine light come on and stay on, and tire sensor indicator. Pain in the *** driving an hour and a half to the nearest HD so I understand people asking first in this forum. Both were fine according to the dealer just “old codes” to be cleared. Dealer showed me how to clear the codes and implied that I should just DIY when it happens again. Problem is how do I know there isn’t really an issue? I see this as a great money maker for the dealership once warranties expire.

Yes, I can understand the new bike and idiot light and let the dealer investigate.

FWIW we as motorcyclists tighten bolts, adjust chains and cables etc.
I would invest in a code reader and service manual.
Or at the very least know how to read and clear the codes.

Good luck.

That Light indicates the a fault has been detected, but it can be from several different things. If a code was set you would get the check engine lamp as well. A rough way of thinking about this is if the system detects a issue but not to the level of a fault it will set the yellow triangle dash light on. If the problem continues to the level of a perceived failure it will then turn the check engine lamp on as well. There are several types/levels of codes Current, Historic and Pending. Pending is the level that switches the yellow triangle light to come on but not the Check Engine lamp.

It sucks, but these new models (23.5 and 24 new body style) have these issues and there is currently no known fix for them. If you clear the codes and they donot come back then don't worry about it, if they do its time for a trip to a dealership and plan on leaving the bike too.

To the OP..

Another thing to try is pull the main fuse and see if the light goes away when system resets.. Turn ignition on, pull fuse. Turn ignition off, wait 30 or so seconds and replace the fuse.

If that doesn't work, let us know what the dealer discovers when you take the bike in..
