Where the hell are all the WW2 M1 Army motorcycle helmets?
I was looking for some WW2 fatigues and matching helmet, and maybe even an airsoft M1 for a getup for a motorcycle event and I cannot for the life of me find a legit, or even half *** barely legal WW2 army helmet for motorcycles. There's German ones everywhere but I have no desire to ride around with **** trash on me.
Where's the helmets for the good guys?
I genuinely dont feel like risking wearing just a replica M1 with that strap headharness.

You'll find WWII gear at WWII shows and meets.
I don't see any listed currently for the rest of the year out your way:
https://www.milsurpia.com/events/all/wa
But you could also touch base with the likes of this reenactment group to see if they can guide to some of the better vendors out in your area:

I was looking for something that has some actual impact resistance, just in case someone does hit me.
I pretty much always ride with an airbag vest, gloves, and helmet no matter what.
Dying just kinda ruins a lot of my plans.
I'm just genuinely confused as to why there's no M1 motorcycle helmets when there's literally dozens of German ones.
I cant believe I cant find a single one with an EPS liner.

This doesn't exactly help due to the style/model. Might look into a tankers helmet. The kevlar ones from the Gulf war I would think have some impact resistance built into them considering your banging around in a metal box. Likely the WWII ones as well, but them again, IIRR they are leather. Might have to look that up?
EDIT: WWII are are least reproduced with a fiberglass shell, not just leather for the shell.
Good luck,
Tom

If it's cosplay you want, just take a cheapie beanie helmet, tape on flanges and put a cloth cover over it. You might even take a costume helmet and put it over a motorcycle helmet.
You can also find plenty of faux play uniforms and such on Amazon for a pretty low price to complete the ensemble. Should be good for a ride or two.

If i got my noggin bopped real hard with a standard M1 on it'd rattle my brain.
That's why I'm looking for something that has an EPS foam liner in it.
I'm just shocked I cant seem to find one because the german ones are really common apparently.

When I see the cosplay motorcycle riding crowd, they're invariably faux ****. And sometimes not exactly faux. I don't think I've ever seen a US military representation in that crowd. So, I'm not surprised with the amount of german stuff and the lack of US stuff.
But, if you take a beanie style motorcycle helmet, and get creative with cardboard and tape, you could mock it up as a sorta american military helmet shape. Then, put the cloth cover over it, and you might well have a decent representation of a US WWII military helmet on a real motorcycle helmet.
You could do similar with a 3/4 motorcycle helmet, for better head protection. But it wouldn't look as right.
Combine that with a cheap costume you buy on Amazon or such, and I don't think you'd look bad.
So again, cardboard and tape on a real motorcycle helmet, to get the shape right. Put the cloth cover over it.
