Default Vance and Hines Power Duals

I have Vance and Hines power duals on my 2014 CVO Ultra limited that I recently purchased. How would I know if it has a cat in it without removing the muffler. If the cat is in the header pipe is it removable?

Powerduals purchased during that era did not have cats.

Well it was a PITA to get the right side muffler off ( considering it was only 3 weeks ago the mufflers and head pipes were off to have the new lifters installed) and it appears to have the stupid Cat in the head pipe!!! Can it be removed or is it welded in there?

There are lots of thread ps in removing the cats on this site. Search for them. Yes, they can be removed. Most use a hole saw drill p
bit, or large spade bits.

I've had several sets of V&H power duals and never have seen a cat in the headpipe. Is this some CA or EU purchase? Also judging by the size of the pipe, it' looks like a stock head pipe. Usually it you change headpipes and not just mufflers, both exits are the same size. I'm a bit confused here. How bout a pic of the headpipe...

Noted... I only asked because I was in the process of taking things apart and putting it back together. I'll do some more searching later tonight.

I have no idea where the bike originated. I only purchased it used about 2 and 1/2 months ago. It is a US bike but I purchased up here in Canada.
