Default 10 wide glide Sharkey after 75

Just got this bike and was wonder how people feel on it over 75. Felt pretty sketchy at speeds. Has new fork seals. Definetly needs a front tire but was really surprised with the handling. It felt like my shovel. Is this a common complaint?

Kinda hard to understand, but if you know you need a tire, replace it first, probably before the 75 mph run, then report back.
otherwise, welcome

Make sure it’s balanced and bearings are good. 75 shouldn’t be a issue

While you're doing the front tire, inspect the front motor mount. It's old enough to be concerned about it.

Have you tried adjusting the rear shocks? More preload may raise the back end and make it more stable.

All of the above and fall-away. My 01 FXDXT would shake a bit at triple digit speeds, especially after letting off the throttle...I set fall away up just 1/16 extra turn over proper setting and it was cured. Be wary of steering dampers; they can mask a problem
