Cool Heated Grips

I have a 2022 Road Glide Limited and recently did a handle bar switch. I chose KST 14" Spearheads. I have stock heated grips, the extended all of the wires made the connections however there is no power to the heated grips. The bike runs great, no issues just having a problem with the heated grips. Thinking the left grip might be bad I purchased the left grip from H-D (They sell them Part #56209-10A) I hooked up the new Left Handed grip to the existing 2 connections (black and white connector from left feeds throttle side connector, the red and black wires connected to the purple and and black wire connection on the left side (below where speedo sits). I turned the dial on the grip and they did not heat up, I let the bike run for a few minutes and still nothing. I tried to test the line with a simple Klein Tool voltage tester and I couldn't get any reading. Could it be the fuse? I know where the fuses are located on the bike but I have heard discussion about an inline fuse and to be honest I've not seen one anywhere under the speedometer - tach gauges. My thought was if there is no power to the line, it could very well be the fuse. I am not electrically inclined in any respect, so if this sounds elementary to some folks please be patient. My other thought is the power connector (purple and black wire connection) is possibly damaged but that doesn't explain the no power to the line. Any thoughts? Thank you kindly in advance.

Pull the end cap off the right grip and see if it is plugged in or if one of the connectors is bent. Happened to me when I changed bars on my ‘14 Ultra Limited.

So those pins are supposed to be straight…. I learned something very valuable. When doing a project, don’t let your buddies who don’t ride “but know ****” help you.
Thank you kindly GalTexGuy

The heated grips work great now. I was able to straighten the pins out with needle nose and get it back it. Thank you again! Enjoy your weekend sir!

That plug, with those pins, is a pain in the **** to get in there. It takes a light touch, that's for sure.

At least your plug looks bigger and more robust than the one wee one on my Softail. Feel like I'm doing laproscopic surgery when I have to install that thing. 😆
