Default S 100 Sucks

Years ago I swore by S 100 to wash my bikes. I had bought quit a few bottles.
Since age crept up on me, and bikes got bigger, Tri Glides since 2014, and another in 2022,
I started using a local hand wash. For $25.00 it is well worth it, wash & spray wax.
And I sat on my *** and watched.
Last week, out in the garage, I spot the bottles. Bike was dirty, so I gave it a shot.
Hosed it off, and i didn't dry it quick enough. Blew it off, and microfiber. What a mess.
Water spots and haze all over.
So I donated the two remaining bottles to use with the power washer to clean the sheds.
Back to the car wash.
S 100, I don't know, but it's not the same. Very disappointed.

Yea, I always thought that stuff may do better at cleaning sidewalks and siding that bikes! However that S100 Engine Bright spray is the ticket on engine black and rubber hoses, My 27 year old EVO has had it applied at least once a year from the time she was new! The engine black and hoses still look dark black and new!

S100 bike wash will eat cement. I spilled some and that was enough for me to never touch it again.
Pig Spit works much better that S100 engine bight.

I use Honda shine products. It’s worked great but I don’t leave it on for too long.

Any product that is designed to spray on/rinse off and eliminates a contact wash is going to be super strong. Either high alkaline or acidic. There are soaps that are designed for this, never let it dry on paint.
Ive never used s100 or any honda products, so I cant comment on my user experience. CarPro Reset or Lift has done everything I need a soap to do. However, if you would rather pay someone to wash it, then no need for the soaps

Were you washing the bike in direct sunlight?

I have been using S100 for 30+ years and only had issues when I didn't have a shade to wash in. I follow the manufacture instructions and achieve great results! I find that frequent washes helps maintain the quick wash better than semi annual washes.

Did it freeze in the garage over the years?

I use it on the bike without any problems. I DON'T use it on the paint...only on chrome, frame, wheels, forks, engine etc. Never let it get close to drying on the bike. I wash early morning while it's cool and no bright sun. Sold by basically every H-D dealership I've ever visited.

No, in the shade. And no, it didn't freeze, garage is heated.
I never use to have this water spots and haze.
