Default Heat Shield with adjustable back rest. Possible?

I have a 2023 Road Glide 3 and it has the Harley adjustable back rest. The kind with the lever on left side so you can adjust back rest while on the move. I think I know the answer. Can I install the heat shields that mount toward of back of the tank, like some bikes come with. I think the answer is no. But not sure. Anyone know for sure?

Yes if the front of your frame is like every other touring model. I have the adjustment lever and deflectors on my '23 Limited.

Mount the deflector leaving the top bolt out. Put your lever on the deflector then the bolt w/washer through deflector and adjuster.

Doesn't that cover up the lever slide lever?

It depends on how your adjustment lever is mounted. The mid frame air deflectors should fit, but if that's where your lever is, you may have to relocate the lever.

If you don't understand look at the Harley website for the backrest then look at the instructions. You don't have to modify anything.

It somewhat covers it but lever is still reachable.

I had that combo (deflector/backrest adjuster) on my '22 Road King. It was a bitch to install in that location, but patience and following the assembly sequence works.
