Hey all, I think it's time to upgrade the front caliper on my Fatboy and was wondering which option would be the best way to go...
Option 1) Just purchase and install a made to fit Wilwood? Question on that though, do their calipers require proprietary pads from them?
Option 2) Go with a 2000 up Harley front caliper and use an adapter bracket to mount it to the 99 down lower legs..
Just looking for better front braking. Thanks..
About fifteen years ago I updated front and rear to four piston. Lower legs on the Bay were $20, I think I paid the same for a newer swingarm. Calipers were about $60 each. Huge upgrade over stock and very cheap. Still using the original master cylinders.
I went with the Wilwood and braided lines. Big difference over stock. I cant remember about the pads though. I tried later model calipers and brackets. I didnt like the looks or design of the set up. Really loooked mickey-moused to me.
