Default Forged carbon fiber

What yall think about the "forged carbon" components that are showing up on new Harley CVO and other automotive parts? Looks cheap to me.

Comparing the Mechanical Properties of Forged Carbon Fibre - Easy Composites

What is forged carbon fiber?
Whilst there may be other definitions, for the purposes of clarity we are defining 'forged carbon fibre' as the name given to the process of compression moulding a carbon fibre component using randomly oriented short strand carbon fibre reinforcement and a resin matrix.

don't know enough about it to have a reaction good or bad
where on the bike/what components are they using it for?

I agree on looking cheap. It’s actually supposedly a good product, but I am not a fan at all.

Composites have been used for year on the Corvette and other high end vehicles.

Stronger and lighter than ABS or other plastics.

Its a cheaper, easier way to get the strength and weight reduction. Its the OSB of carbon fiber, I'd rather have real plywood and real carbon fiber that looks nice.
