Default Turn signal blow out

I have a 2016 fxdwg, the right rear turn signal lasts about a year before it goes. I have had the bulb break or turn silver. The other bulbs have never been changed. This might or might not be related to the battery also not lasting more the 2.5 years. I do keep it on a tender in the winter. Any thoughts?

Have you inspected the socket for corrosion?
If it is corroded then bad **** happens as far as current draw, heat, etc. which can all impact lamp life.

I'm gonna guess that you bought a pair of bulbs the first time you needed one and have now gone through both of those...
Are you using the lamps with the HEAVY DUTY filament?
Most versions offer this option, but you have to read the fine print on the card (at least this was my experience when the RT tail light bulb on my car had the same symptoms a few years ago).

Is there parasitic draw on your battery?
I would fully expect 4-5 years from most any modern motorcycle battery; maybe even more if ridden frequently or on a tender.

Get bike rated bulbs or LED's.

Thanks. Will check the socket. Don't know about the draw on the battery.

Led's are the answer. Another thing that can happen is you let the bike idle long with the handlebars turned to the left on the kickstand the right side of the handlebars shake alot. Seen that with big engines solid mount. Same thing can happen to tail lights.

I just notice that the sissy bar / fender / turn signal mount had killed one of the isolators and was rattling. Both rear running / ts lights had blown rear running bulbs..
