Default 1000 mile check

Going to do the 1000 mile check up. I was going to use amsoil 20w 50 for my oil change. Was wondering if anyone has anyone has used amsoil? Also would you use this in inner primary & transmission also? In the past i have used syn3 but looking at results for amsoil & i looked in the oil section & went thru all of the posts. Can not post any new posts there.

Opinions are all over. For a number of years harley ran 20w50 in all 3 holes. I did too. I got one bike with all 3 same, and others mix and matched. Not sure I can tell difference. Buy whatever good oil you like.

I've thought about other brands because fleet farm is open later than dealers, but so far just one what the dealers have. Use a good oil, and enjoy it.

I use AMSOIL in my stage 2 street bob and 128 Road King. It's a great oil and to me, much better than syn 3.

Use whatever motorcycle oil you want. Everybody uses everything, and nobody's bike blows up because of the choice of oil.

Can't go wrong with using what is called for in the Owner's Manual.

Your bike, use what you want.

I use it and have had no oil related failures. If I buy a case it costs about $12 per qt. Keep that in mind when you see how much it costs at a store or dealership.
