Is it just me or is the hype, admiration and excitement for the ‘24 Street Glide only a fraction of the buzz I hear about the ‘24 Road Glide? I owned a ‘21 Road Glide Special (my first HD as well as my first fairing bike) and I loved it but for reasons I won’t bore anyone with I ended up selling it. A little over a year later I snagged a new ‘24 Whiskey Fire Street Glide and I love it just as much if not more. Both truly awesome bikes and I’ve been blessed to have been able to enjoy both of them.
While I truly don’t give a fig about what’s hot or trendy, it seemed to me that when I owned the ‘21 Road Glide everyone was gushing about the Street Glide but now that I own a ‘24 Street Glide the reverse seems to be true. I can’t help but wonder if what I’m experiencing is actually based on fact or rather some sort of convoluted confirmation bias.
i’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on the matter, be it to tell me that it’s all in my head or that the ‘24 Street Glide is now, in fact, the Peter to the Road Glide’s Greg. (Since most of us touring bike aficionados are old enough to remember The Brady Bunch I thought it safe to toss out a reference!)

IMHO, it started before the 24’s. The road glide has slowly been overtaking the street glide for a couple of years now. Used to be the street glides were all the rage.
All streets glides look the same for the past 20yrs I think people are burned out on them .
You mean like the rest of the Electra glides?
I know things have to change, and don't want to be one of those guys I ran into years ago. I am sure I'll get used to it. But there was one I thought was ugly.
For me fairing vent doesn't help, so I also wish they didn't have that ugly thing to n there too . Wish they put in vent that blasted you with air. Something simple
King of the Baggers focuses on the Road Glide and has done a great job expanding visibility on the FLTR.
For a lot of years the “custom bike” was all the rage - big wheel, stretched bags, custom paint and themes. And the Street Glide was the favored platform.
As you can see in the 24’s they are taking their clues from the performance bagger and the Road Glide is the flagship.
All the fan boys want the Bro glide. Purest who have the arm muscle tt handle a cross breeze go for the street glide. I consider the RG a ladys bike. More of a fashin statent that one is part of the "club"
