Default 1986 FXWG Wide Glide Rescue

Hello Everyone !
Here's my new to me 1986 FXWG. I would like to document my journey with the Machine & share with you my experience !

Hers a sales Brochure from 1985 introducing the 1986 FXWG, I will be using this as a "Map" for my journey !

Here's my starting point, she looks pretty sad but i know i can save her & bring her back, her she ben sitting for over 15 years !

Of course she'll need a lot of TLC ,not to mention alot of work ! But i know t will be a lot of fun ! I belive these vintage machines are worth the investment & are still affordable !

Got her home today ! Cant wait to get started on her ! A true Diamond in the ruff ! this is gonna be fun !

Dispite her appearance there are alot of verry good things about her ! First she's an original paint & Matching numbers Bike ! The original speedo meter came with her& naturally will be going back on her, the speedo was not broken, but changed out to read kilometers !

The paint on this Machine is mint for 38 years old !

Ok lets get this Party Started ! . . . By the way if you like you can see my video documentary on my YouTube channel @Troy Builds , Ok have a great weekend see you soon !

Huh??? Your "Needs Help" is My "Ready to Ride"
Looks like a Genuine Survivor to me!!!
Edit; I am Not in the "looking Showroom New" crowd. I much prefer un-****ered with.. Survivors that are Clean, Original, and Obviously Used, yet well cared for!!!!

Default Schematic

You're going to need this. I bought and repaired my 85 about 18 years ago. I still ride it, but not as often as I had planned.
