Default Corbin Seat Quality Issue

I received my Corbin Dual Tour seat, but the stitching alignment is poor. Seems to have Peyronies Disease. I called them and they are willing to try it again, but they say they don’t have a motorcycle to try it on before shipping it out. So my confidence is low that the 2nd time would be better.

Am I expecting too much since this is a hand-made cover, or would it bother you too?

WOW...That's too much out of alignment for me on a new expensive seat.

I would think they would have a template made for your bike by now. The leather/vinyl pieces are normally cut using these templates...or their QC is in the ********.

What year and model bike are we talking about? That is definitely fubar.

ETA: not being a smart azz here because crazier things have happened, but is it aligned properly on the "tab"?

2024 Road Glide. And yes the seat is properly installed.

And to add insult to injury, I just called them and they said it could take 5-6 weeks for them to fix the issue if I send the seat back. The manager said he could probably get it down to a couple of weeks. And when I said I just want to return it completely, he said there is a 20% restocking fee.

That's what it looked like. Sorry if it's in your sig, I can't see them on phone. Send that puppy back, mine looks nothing like that.

Wow. For what they charge it's a reasonable expectation that you go to the front of the line and they send you a shipping label and return it for free too.

I've been using them for years and never had a quality issue, but the horror stories are out there for sure. I returned one for rework, not warranty or quality but wanted layer of softer foam added after I received it and they did it no problem. They were very clear that I only got one change, but didn't bust my chops about it. Sent it in after riding season so no timing issue. That seat had custom stitching design and was ordered through my local Indy who was a distributor or whatever they call them. I remember paying shipping to send it back but they returned on their dime.

This is EXACTLY the reason I decided on C&C for my seat no issue, no b.s.

I recall seeing that same issue posted here not long ago. How far are you from their facility in Hollister? Perhaps face to face would get more action for you. I’ve purchased 2 Corbin seats in the last month, and they’re both fine.

It looks like someone tried to straighten it and stressed the seam on the right side. (White showing)
