2002 Sportster Scrambler - How much do I ask?
2002 Sportster Scrambler build. 100 LBS lighter than factory (handles much better). Is $9k too much to ask?
883C conversion in amazing shape. Very clean, title in my name. I build bikes and have wanted to scramble one of these for quite a while. More in parts than I'm asking.
I have another project I'm working on and could use the money to keep building. Black spoke wheel swap, chain conversion, longer shocks, chopped rear end, custom rear fender, scrambler front fender with custom mount, LED signals and lights (Prism supply rear), riser for enduro handlebars, custom tank paint (epoxy coated so gas won't hurt it) and decals. New rotors and brake lines in front. Pics prior to tail light install (I'll add more soon).
Shotgun exhaust, extended kickstand, converted brake line, light weight battery, black accents (levers, battery box, fork boots, air cleaner), custom seat. Probably even more than listed. All new fluids. Starts every time. Lighter battery and minor upgrades from previous owner. I'll add more pics shortly. Video explains more about the build:

Beautiful bike. A custom bike's worth what someone's willing to pay for it. I think there are folks out there who understand what it takes to put together a bike like that. My guess is I have a similar $amount$ into the bike I just finished but I think if I were to sell it I would realistically be looking at getting about half of what I have in it + a grand or two. That's been my experience with other bikes I have sold over the years. But that's private party. If you have a shop or are a known quantity the price goes up and your $$$ figure wouldn't be too far off.

The bike looks great but most people would probably not pay $9000 for it. I know as well as most on this board what goes into a build like that, but Joe Six Pack sees a 22 year old Sportster.
List it for $9k and see what happens but be prepared to wait for a long time for a buyer or to drop the price by a few grand.

Nice bike, looks super fun. Not sure on price, only because it has been irreversibley modified and now apeals to a even smaller market of potential buyers? But there are a million sporties so
Just watched the video, quite a transformation. I see where the money went but I'm not sure its going to add a ton of value. things like these you price high and expect a low-ball, then when you counter offer a small amount more than the low-ball(which is what you actually want) it's sold.
