2024 Road Glide
I'm looking to get a 2024 Road Glide in Vivid Black, with Black trim. I have been shopping at dealers but so far all have been priced way to high. The bike in the color and trim package I want has an MSRP $27,949. The tax in my state is 3 percent so with tax it is $28,787.
I don't agree with $850 freight charge they add but it seems they won't budge from that so I offered $30,000 out the door. That is MSRP, plus the freight, and a $350 dollars on top of that. They acted like I was crazy and wasting their time to offer a price like that, and said I would be "stealing" it for that price. So paying MSRP, plus the freight charge they have on the website, and tax on top of that is "stealing' the bike? Are the dealers really that bad? It's insane that offering to pay literally what the bike is advertised at with no discount is met with such resistance and hate from them.

Wait for the used Market. I was able to snag a 2021 Revival that was Msrp of 29199 plus 200 CA emissions, 900 surcharge,435 freight, equaling 30734 for 20K. For it being a limited edition bike, the OTD new would be about 35K plus here in Norcal.
The guy I bought it from was a retired police office which doesn't really matter, but he noted that he was focusing more on ADV riding.
What's my point. Wait for the used market or bend over and bite the mouthguard for new. Or you can be that guy that gets super duper pricing for being a HOG member that supports them

I paid MSRP for mine. Including the delivery charge. On top of that the dealer added a PDI (Pre delivery inspection) of $350 But other than sales tax, there were no other silly things like document fees, admin fees, registration fees etc..
If you really want a bargain on a new bike, go for an unsold 2023. I was at my dealership yesterday. They still have lots of '23s on the floor and they have them discounted around $3000 - $5000 depending on the model. I'm sure others are doing the same..

Yes, I will not be paying more than $30K out the door for a 24. I know I can get a better deal on the 23's but I like the changes to the 24's. I had no interest in the 23 Road Glide's but I like what they did to the 24's.
It seems the dealers might be the ones that are ruining the brand. The company did a good job and making the 24's better and charging less, but then the dealer ruin it.

Any out of the way dealers who are lower volume around your parts? They would prolly be more apt to deal. Sounds like you were right on the money for your offer. Try an out of state dealer. I know in my area, Buddy Stubbs and Scottsdale Harley are really fair and easy to deal with.

you get the bike and they let you pick out a 'free' t-shirt are you going to get another black one? I say 'another' because if you're like every Harley rider that ever lived, I'm 100% sure you have at least one
