CVO VVT Breather conversion possible?
Since they haven't released the parts microfiche for the 121 VVT engine yet, I'm wondering if any Harley techs could confirm this.
The new CVO 121 VVT doesn't use head breathers. they are blocked off in the head and instead they vent via the transmission top cover like the Trask kit. By looking at a couple pictures online, it looks like this should bolt onto our transmissions and we could vent to atmosphere and get rid of the whole head breathing all together.
Attached is a video of fueling showing the parts. pause at 00.31 to see the transmission top cover. It looks like there's an oil separation system built into it.

Just to give an update on this, I've successfully put the 2024+ touring transmission top cover on my softail. there are some modifications you will have to do for clearance reasons. On the right side of the bike if you have a remote preload adjuster you won't need to modify anything. If you have the full cover without the remote preload adjuster you will have to trim some metal off the bottom corner to clear the transmission cover itself. on the left side cover you have to trim some metal off the bottom corner and up a little bit to clear the hose that will be coming off the trans cover. After that route your hose where you want it and plug your head breathers. I plugged mine with solid bolts and loctite.
Some may want to do this mod, some may not. This is just info incase anyone wants to. I'd rather have no oil being ingested through the intake and if you ride high RPM occasionally, it will happen.

The harley cover has an oil separator built into it, the trask does not.
the Trask cover has a reed valve built into it to maintain vacuum in the crankcase where the Harley cover does not.
