Default Rabaconda Tire Changer

Anyone have this machine from Rabaconda for your touring bikes? I like that it can be broken down for storage, but am wondering how well it really works.

I've been mounting my own tires for years, struggling with tire irons. Always a pain but I always get it done. I'm going to check the price on this system, looks pretty cool!

Edit: Ouch! $449

It's $600 ish

I'm still pondering purchasing it.

I decided to go ahead and order it, this one actually:

I'm too old to continue doing it on the floor with spoons, and it will be nice to have something that @NorthWestern doesn't have, haha!

Man, if I had the room!

What do you do about balancing?

I bought one of these a couple years ago.

Take a look at the no mar machines. I used to have one. I could do car/truck tires with it too was great because the ex's car could tear thru a set of tires in 30k miles. The cycle hill version uses a better rim lock system the classic cam/dog blocks are a nuisance and dont let the tire drop down enough.

I don't have room to mount one permanently to the floor in my garage, and don't want to dick around with one that mounts to a trailer hitch. See, that's the beauty of this one, if breaks down and goes in a bag for storage.
