Easy conversion! I did my 07 Dyna 50,000 miles ago. You need - 1 Thunder Heart Stand Alone ignition (around $325 ebay.) 2 Harley CV 40 carb and intake manifold from either a non EFI TC 88 or from an 80" Evo. Change you intake manifold gaskets to eliminate a possible problem. On the ignition, start with around 28 degrees of advance. Unplug all of the sensors and zip tie all of the new extra wires up under the tank. Rebuild the used carb and a 46 slow jet and 185 main will get ya in the ball park. Your bike uses a Crank Trigger and the ECM is for EFI. There is NO factory harness to do the conversion. After the conversion, you will blow every error code in the book and you Engine Light will stay on. I had mine inspected shortly after the conversion. The Inspector says YOU HAVE ENGINE LIGHT ON!!!! NOT GOOD! Told him I have aftermarket spark plugs which screws up the coil's ohms. I spent the next Saturday morning taking my speedo apart to put black tape over the Engine light LED and reassembled it. What you will find out is that bike has a lot more power without the EFI.

hey man! About to do this for my 2004 FXDLi to get away from some haunting EFI issues. How was the conversion held up? Thanks!

The attachment is old but a good description and how to make the conversion with which preserves other electric functions of the bike from fuel-gauge-display to turn-signal or security-module.

The OP probably (got smart) sold his EFI Twinkie for a carbureted EVO.

Cool beans, I've bought 2 harnesses for my 2005 Dyna both used, both had problems. Going to pitch it all and go for conversion. Kind of wish I still had my shovel or my Evo though... (traded shovel for Evo, got hit by car 4 months later... But I got the Dyna for work done so I'm making the best of it.
