I go this message when at Burly's web site about the easy boy lite clutch kit: Please Note! This part does not fit the ride you currently have selected:
2011 Harley Davidson FLHRC (Change Ride)
The change in mechanical advantage comes with less clutch release movement. That just requires a more careful clutch adjustment to balance release against lever free play.
I have been running my build with the SE heavy clutch since 2008. I have about 55,000 miles on this build and this clutch. I didn't mind the clutch pull when it was first installed. As the years have gone by and I am not as strong as I used to be, pulling the clutch, especially in stop and go traffic started to become more and more difficult for me. I rode a stock bike at the end of season last year and it was hard for me to believe how much harder my clutch lever pulls than stock. I decided I had to do something.
I read on here about variable pressure clutches and decided that is what I wanted to try. I went to talk to a trusted indy to get his opinion and he convinced me to try the Burly Easyboy lite clutch kit first. It is just a replacement part. It replaces the arm that the clutch cable attaches to. It doesn't affect the clutch lockup at all. It costs about $30. I took his advice and tried it. It works very well.
I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to reduce the amount of effort it takes to pull the clutch lever.
Dennis
does one have to pull the entire exhaust assembly to get the transmission cover off to install this?
So I was researching this part further for a future project (when bike is apart)
The little plastic piece you put in by the clutch lever......my fear is this will crack over time through torque cycles (pulling/releasing lever), freeze/thaw cycles (winter/summer in many states). I am wondering why this isn't made of a steel/aluminum type of material for more longevity.
Can anyone comment on that? or suggest a better, more improved part? (even if its higher cost) Talking 2008-13 touring here. Thanks.
I can't comment on the Burly, but there are other brands that do a similar job. I've used a Mueller and been happy with it, it doesn't have any plastic parts.

Thanks. I looked that up prior, it was nearly $200! Will keep it in mind. Thanks.
