from my research you will have to rake it. I went with a 21" but may step up to a 23" down the road.

Why? Why? Why? do people want to do that to a motorcycle??

Other than:

"Hey, everybody look at me!"

Most people think those motorcycles look as stupid as this ^^^^^ does. You guys DO realize that a lot of people are laughing at you behind your back....don't ya? A wise man once said "Just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD." JMHO.

And........

But.....your bike.....your money.........

Yea...that ^^^^^^^ looks good..................NOT.

OK, as I said. ..........your bike.........your money..........but I just don't get it................do some people ACTUALLY think that two wheeled abortion looks good?..............and the $$$$ it cost to do it?.............Gotta be marching to their own drum..............IMHO, that was the "thing" for a little while, but it's time has come (and thankfully) gone.........But, I'll shut up now before someone gets pissed.

Well, I like that loo. It is an amazing machine. Who wants a 100% stock bike anyways? Everybody personalizes their bike; and some go far out. Who is it to say what is too much? If your paying the bills then you have a say. But if not, you have an opinion on what other people do to their own bikes. The engineering and testing to go out of the norm helps stock bike work for load test and stresses and custom made parts.

I think lots of things are stupid and a waste of time; but I dont come out and say it to the person. My parents always said, "That if I could not say something nice, then dont say anything."

the blue one is NOT a 23.....

why do some people put 35" tires on their trucks? because they can.

OP,

You definetly need trees. Some ppl claim to get away with it on stock trees but I just dont believe them. I ran trees. I didnt like it. This summer the bike is coming back with a 21. It looked great but thats about it. I ride aggressive......and that wheel wouldnt allow it and it really didnt ride as nice as Id like.

If you dont ride aggressively, youll be fine with it if you dial it in properly (IE spend the proper money on the proper parts) If you dont, youll regret it and end up spending more trying to get it right. The pic in my sig is the 23, although that setup is gone, and the bike currently sits with no front end.....

I ride on a 2014 Sg with a 23" HHI Triple trees and a progressive lowering kit.

I would strongly recommend using a triple tree kit. if you do not you will ruin whatever fender you decide to run.

You will need trees bro! And BTW, I have a buddy with a 26 who rides with me every year on our annual week long trip from NC to Canada, Key West, New Orleans, etc. My buddy rides that thing on twisties like a sport bike too.

Normally, a certain demographic laughs at another demographic for something they THINK is stupid. I'm asked why I have a tonneau cover on my truck instead of buying a SUV, I'm asked why I lifted my truck and put off roads tires on when I'm not off-roading and why did I put 22 inch rims on it vs the the usual 18s for off-roads.

I don't know why ppl care so much. Do you bro! That's what I love about life ....free will and choices. Be Blessed
