Default Digital guard dawg keyless ignition

I recently went to the dealership to get a new tire put on my bike and while I was waiting I was looking at the new softail to see if they lived up to the hype. One option I was really impressed with was the keyless ignition. My bike has been having issues with corrosion messing up my ignition stalling my bike or preventing the bike from starting. After seeing the keyless ignition on the new models I did a lot of research and decided to go with the digital guard dawg system. It is not a hard install but did require the gas tank to be removed. I really like the option to use the fob as a proximity sensor so you can just hit the run switch and start the bike. You can also set the security so You have to push the button on the key fob to be able to start the bike. It also has a 30 second auto arm if the keys remain in range but the bike is not started. I personally think that they system works great and recommend it to anyone else who is interested in going this direction.

my bike is just about buttoned up but due to the weather here I will not be able to ride. just to show the issues i was having with my ignition.

you can see how corroded the ignition switch got on my bike.

removing the ignition left an empty spot on the side of my bike where the ignition switch used to be so i had an idea of using the butt end of a 30mm round.

after cutting and polishing the round came out nice.

i threaded the back of the round and mounted it where the ignition used to be.

I have one of their older systems on my evo.
It replaces the starter relay in the fairing on my FLHT.
It locks out the starter button only.
The ignition is still live.
I turn on the ignition switch and give the fob a shake to wake it up, then press the starter button.
If you forget the fob, you can have them activate it remotely over the phone.
I would buy it again.
