Help with anti-seize

Put slip-ons on after 12,000 miles, 2 years after I bought my Ultra Limited. Followed some You Tube videos that showed moving the stock mufflers in small circles while pulling back.........took about 3-5 minutes and they slowly slid backwards. I cleaned the mating surfaces and slid the new ones on DRY (no product used). Yes, it's a relatively "tedious" process but with patience they will come off and IMHO, there's no need to use any product when installing others. Just clean the mating surfaces, and you'll be good to go.....simple!

TIP: I bought a used set of VH slip ons for one of my bikes. I didn't care if they were a bit dinged etc, no one sees under the pipe anyway.
Regardless, they were tough to slip on due to carbon and gunk buildup so I took a barrel Dremel dip and did some slight sanding inside the front of the slip-on. It made it slip on with ease. Not a perfect solution, but for a used part it was no issue. I too use Antiseize.

The Brits seem to use some sort of exhaust tubing sealant, it seems. Haven't seen it used much here...but I could be wrong.
Regarding the replacement of clamps, I will admit that I often overlook this little thang that I admit is very important...haven't been stung by it often, but I guess I've been lucky.

As mentioned, it only takes a little dab of anti seize.
Just for fun, see if you can do it, and NOT get that stuff on you. I thought I had once. I was careful, wiped down everything, and was so proud of myself! I put everything away, went into the house, took a leak, and upon leaving I looked in the mirror - and right there it was on the end of my nose!
