They are a good idea, also can install soft lowers in cooler weather.

I notice you've got Kuryakyn forward controls on your Low Rider, which is what I've got on mine. What brand of crash guard? A lot of guards supposedly can't be used with forward controls.

My Breakout isn't a Dyna, of course, but asthetics are similar. The Lindby moustache bars look good and protect the essentials.

they are both the same OEM guards for Dynas with forwards. They secure to the tubes with U bolts and not where the forwards mount. I had to slightly modify the right side mount on my SG because of the oil cooler.

The Low Rider belongs to my son and it lives in my garage so I ride it sometimes. It handles a lot different than my Super Glide and not necessarily in a good way. I am consistently getting over too far on curves and dragging those foot pegs. It can be unnerving if you are not expecting it...

I'm running a Bung King crash bar, awesome bar that I use for a highway peg (I added grip tape for that reason) and it's built extremely well. Plus it looks a hell of a lot better than those gigantic engine guard loops.

My wife has one on her switchback, and I think it looks good.

Her bike looks better than yours!

But the "engine guard" style works well with a batwing fairing. Looks just like a smaller touring bike. on the fairingless/ naked dynas the engine guard loop style bars look pretty strange IMO
