In the early 70's I did a '62 Triumph with rattle can white pearl lacquer. Very forgiving stuff to work with, wet sanded after a couple hours dry time and spray again, repeat about 20 times, then a final polish for the most deep beautiful "custom paint" job ever. Not very durable tho, it started checking in about 6-7 months.
I'm generally not much for white vehicles, but I do love the depth of a pearl finish. One of the coolest finishes I've ever seen was what Lamborghini called mint pearl — it was just spectacular. What about you? There are more pics of this bike on the HP.
Got to say this bike is KILLER! In any color. Love it!
Well i happen to like pearl.....in fact here's my '05 RK which was black painted pearl white 3 years ago.....i think it looks great...it was painted pearl before white became the HD color in the last few years.

OH YEA pearl is the GIRL it's the only way to go. Only time I DON'T like pearl is on classic vehicles, like say a '57 Chevy, since it wasn't around then & they look over-restored. Love my King in White Gold Pearl & Blue cobalt pearl.
I have a friend that needs a fender painted but H/D has discontinued the paint. Does anyone have a pint or so of 2001 Heritage Classic Pearl White paint?
