Default Where are you folks routing your pig tail?

My 2017 XL1200C comes equipped with a pig tail to connect a battery tender. It's located under the battery cover. When I first got the bike the sales guy cut the zip tie holding it in place and just left it dangling near the passenger peg. When I brought it in to have work done on it they placed it back under the cover once more. The cover is a pain in the *** to open and I like to have it where I can get at it easier to plug in the tender without having to open the cover. Where are you folks routing your pig tail for easy access?

I have mine routed out from under the battery cover and zip tied to the wiring that goes up to the tank. Easy to get to and I tuck it away when riding.

Mine is exactly like this. But if you do this way make sure you tuck it away. I rode it awhile not tucked and it wore the black off on the head.

Yep thats actually an old pic. I put on a new one with the cap still intact and it hangs a little lower. When I ride I hook the loop from the cap on that little hook on the ECU cover. Tucks away nice .

I used to tuck it in to the battery cover and just grab it with a finger from underneath. I now have it routed similar to above but i tuck it upward along some of the wire harness when not in use.

The cable on my bike exits the battery cover from the bottom.

Also compared to the bike in the picture the breather pipe from the tank on my bike is not behind the cover.

So I used a Velcro strap to hold the plug to the breather pipe and a cable tie to hold the cover to the breather also.

I notice in your picture you don't have a cover to put on the plug when it is not in use.

There are several suitable locations, down the left side of the bike, which can be seen in cvaria's photo above. Mine is zip-tied close to the bottom of the side cover.

Default Secured it to oil tank

Ran the wires through loom connect to battery then using some Loctite cement attached to back side oil tank on left easy access and plug in and unplug. Mine is a C tek and has easy clip in plug. Have one on other bike secured to back side oil tank under ignition switch. Wires are not hanging down and hidden out of view
